Short version: FlickHive stores everything on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or sell your personal data ourselves. There are no accounts and no login. FlickHive is free to use and supported by advertising served through Google AdMob; a one-time in-app purchase is available to remove ads permanently.

FlickHive does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to our servers. All data generated by your use of the app — including:

FlickHive is free to use and supported by advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob collects and uses certain device information to serve ads, including:
This data is collected and processed by Google, not by FlickHive. We do not have access to it. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy and AdMob's data practices.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, FlickHive shows a consent form on first launch asking how your data may be used for advertising, in line with GDPR and UK requirements. You can review or change this choice at any time from Settings → Privacy → Manage ad privacy choices within the app.
Outside of that consent form, you can also opt out of personalised advertising at any time by going to Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation on your Android device, or by resetting your Advertising ID.
FlickHive offers a one-time in-app purchase, FlickHive Pro, to permanently remove advertisements. This transaction is processed entirely by Google Play Billing. FlickHive requires internet access to function as a browser and to communicate with Chromecast / DLNA devices on your local network. The app connects to:
FlickHive has no user accounts and no login — there is nothing to sign up for, and no user profiles are created. The app does not send your data to any FlickHive-operated server.
When you cast to a Chromecast / DLNA device, FlickHive handles the media locally on your device and your home network. This process stays within your local Wi-Fi network and involves no personal data — only the media you chose to cast.
FlickHive is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this app, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights under GDPR including the right to access, rectify, and erase personal data. Since FlickHive processes no personal data on our end, these rights apply primarily to Google's advertising data — which you can manage via Google's tools linked in Section 3.
All data stored by FlickHive remains on your device and is subject to Android's built-in security model. We do not transmit your data and therefore cannot be responsible for its security in transit to third-party servers (e.g. websites you visit using the browser).
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of FlickHive after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

FlickHive Cast Receiver is a companion app for Android TV and Fire TV devices that receives content cast from the main FlickHive app over your local Wi-Fi network. It collects no data, displays no advertisements, and contains no in-app purchases. It has no user accounts and no login. All communication happens directly between your phone and TV device on your local network — nothing is sent to FlickHive-operated servers.
