Short version: FlickHive stores everything on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or sell your personal data. There are no accounts and no login. A future version may include optional advertising handled entirely by Google AdMob, subject to Google's own privacy policy.

FlickHive does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to our servers. All data generated by your use of the app — including:
— is stored exclusively on your device using Android's local storage (Room database and SharedPreferences). This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app.
FlickHive is currently free to use and displays no advertisements. A future version may introduce advertisements served by Google AdMob. If and when that feature becomes active, AdMob may collect and use certain device information to serve relevant ads, including:

You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time by going to Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation on your Android device, or by resetting your Advertising ID.
A future version of FlickHive may offer a one-time purchase to permanently remove advertisements. If introduced, this transaction would be processed entirely by Google Play Billing. FlickHive requires internet access to function as a browser and to communicate with Chromecast devices on your local network. The app connects to:
FlickHive has no user accounts and no login — there is nothing to sign up for, and no user profiles are created. The app does not send your data to any FlickHive-operated server.
When you cast to a Chromecast device, FlickHive handles the media locally on your device and your home network. This process stays within your local Wi-Fi network and involves no personal data — only the media you chose to cast.
FlickHive is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this app, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights under GDPR including the right to access, rectify, and erase personal data. Since FlickHive processes no personal data on our end, these rights apply primarily to Google's advertising data — which you can manage via Google's tools linked in Section 3.
All data stored by FlickHive remains on your device and is subject to Android's built-in security model. We do not transmit your data and therefore cannot be responsible for its security in transit to third-party servers (e.g. websites you visit using the browser).
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of FlickHive after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
